HEREDIA'S NEW MALL HAS IT ALL!
By Brad Butler
Heredia's new Paseo De Las Flores mall has just opened its expansive new wing. Now you have everything imaginable at your fingertips. This mall offers affordable goods all the way up to your most desirable new designer fashions. A food court packed with fast food choices
If you are worried about coming to Costa Rica and having nothing to do, I can assure you that is not the case. If your interest lies in the jungle then get in your car or take a bus less than an hour away and you are in the jungle.
If shopping and the mall is your passion, then the new Paseo De Las Flores mall is just the ticket. There you will find everything you need and much more. The latest movies are showing in its new 8 theatre cinema. The food court offers, Burger King, KFC, Quinzo's Subs, Subway, Panda Chinese, Burger Factory, McDonalds, and many more delicious quickies for those on the go.
If you wish to take that quiet leisure lunch or dinner in a more formal setting, then there are many great restaurants to choose from. One of my favorites is the Inca Grill offering outstanding Peruvian food. Then for those that have a taste for Mexican there is Los Antonitos where the food is excellent and the Margaritas are spirit lifting. There is also Japanese, Italian and more there is something for everyone's taste.
The new mall has a grand scale supermarket with imported foods from the United States, England, Spain, Germany, Italy and then of course the local foods. There is nothing that you can't find to make any dish you wish. I am now hooked on the German imported jams as they are packed with fresh fruits. The imported teas from England are a delight. Shopping in Costa Rica offers a great new experience for anyone.
If the new mall should not have what you are looking for, or if you need it in larger quantities then there is the Price Smart and knock off of Sam's Club and Costco. There once you become a member you can buy cases of just about anything you want. There is a pharmacy there and it is known to have the lowest prices on prescription drugs in the entire country.
And if that is not enough to keep you busy, the new Wal-Mart will be opening in December 2007. It is located just a 5 minute drive from the Paseo De Las Flores mall.
Don't let third world mislead you Costa Rica is a progressive country just packed with life and adventure.
